Hello wonderful fellow developers!

This short blog post sums up this long and incredible year 2013.

First of all, let me take some time and thank each of you for being the most amazing clients ever. Thanks to your sleepless nights, endless coding strikes and gallons of consumed coffee, we were able to track, catch and violently kill over a hundred bugs in Redactor this year. Although, it was our coding effort, it wouldn't be possible without your outpouring support, patience and understanding.

Second, we've been receiving hundreds of feature requests throughout this year, and although we couldn't implement them all, we thank you for your suggestions. Not only you care about your customers convenience and success, but also you helped fellow developers to lift their products to the new levels of awesomeness.

Lastly, let me share some nice stats with you (we all love stats, right?):

We now have about 5000 licensed clients of Redactor, with overall reach of about 50 million users. A good dozen of largest American and international corporations with overall capitalization of dozens of billions of dollars now use Redactor internally or in their public products, dozens of incredibly successful CMS projects use Redactor, governments, courts, ports and airports, municipalities and non-profit organizations not only in the US but all over the world use Redactor, finest media outlets use Redactor, after all! And it is all made possible thanks to you: it is you who integrate, research, implement, deploy and submit support tickets, pressure us for fixing things asap, adding features and changing the world, one line of code at a time. Thank you so much!

I also want to thank our respectful competitors for being so passionate about their products, constantly keeping us in the zone for making Redactor even better. With open hearts we wish you all the best in 2014! It is a pleasure and a challenge to compete with you.

We have some major updates coming up next year. Some of new features were suggested by you, and some are completely fresh and crisp, never discussed before. We're going to shake the industry once again and believe me, you won't be disappointed at all!

We know exactly how passionate you are about your products, guys. But this holiday season, please, please, take some time to spend with your families and loved ones, to go somewhere and to fully recharge your creative batteries. It is precisely what we are going to do. Not abandoning our support operations, we are going to take a two week vacation, starting this Friday, December 20 and ending on the first Friday of the New year, January 3. We won't be available by phone or for a chat, we will only handle critical bugs, billing issues and refunds during this period of time. We are also using this time to smoothly migrate our support system to wonderful guys at Help Scout. Make sure you use this time out as a perfect excuse to relax a little, take some well deserved rest and send us some pictures from where you're spending this holidays ;)
